Many years ago I faced a question that every independent artist and band has to make. "Do we record ourselves or do we go to a professional studio?"
The rabbit hole of audio engineering, its deep, expensive and rewarding. But it certainly takes time away from your creativity as an artist. 

I encourage every artist to at least learn how to record your instruments and vocals. Now take the headache of mix and mastering away and let me put the song together and make it as best as it possibly can be.
